You can make an application for information under the Freedom of Information Act, the Environmental Information Regulations or the Data Protection Act using the form below.
*Note: You cannot request personal information about, or on behalf of, another living person. If the information being requested is personal (ie about you), you must provide proof of identity under section 7(3) of the Data Protection Act 1998. This can be in the form of a recent utility (gas, electricity, oil) bill together with a copy of the relevant page from a passport or driving licence. Proof of identity must be submitted before a request can be actioned.
If the Northern Ireland Prison Service has the information you have requested and you are entitled to receive it under the relevant legislation, the Prison Service will endeavour to provide it within the appropriate timeframe (20 working days for requests under the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations, or 40 calendar days under the Data Protection Act).
