It is with regret that the Prison Service announces the death of Stephen Doran, a prisoner in Maghaberry Prison.

His next of kin, the PSNI and the Coroner have been informed, while, in line with standard procedure, the Prisoner Ombudsman has commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
