Brief description: The Directorate is responsible for a wide range of functions connected with the security and day-to-day operation of prisons, prisoner casework and incident management. The Governors of each establishment report to the Director of Operations and the Directorate has responsibility for the provision of support services to establishments. Security Management and Departmental security make up the main branches of this directorate.
