Brief description: | Maghaberry is a modern high security prison housing adult male long term sentenced and remand prisoners, in both separated and integrated conditions. Immigration detainees are accomodated in the Prison's Belfast facility. |
Maghaberry has two principal objectives: to service the courts and to provide programmes that allow prisoners the opportunity to develop skills to assist in their preparation for release into the community.
